5th Global Summit on Circulatory Health – Washington, D.C.
October 13, 2020 - October 15, 2020
In light of current circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic and in the best interest of participants, we have made the difficult but inevitable decision to postpone the 5th Global Summit on Circulatory Health to 13-15 October 2020. We remain loyal to our chosen host city – Washington, D.C. – because of its status as a global hub for world class meetings which aim to influence policies on the international level.
The communities which the Global Summit serves – the health workforce, people living with circulatory diseases, our members, policymakers, health advocates and partners in the private sector – are on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19. Their stories, lessons and successes will be honoured at the Summit in October.
For this reason, we hope that you will still be able to join us at the 5th Global Summit and add your voice to the global advocacy for a better future for the health workforce.
Because now, more than ever, we see how health professionals are at the center of every health journey and of every community. Beyond COVID-19, we need a well-funded, well-trained and well-equipped health workforce to:
- ensure our individual and societal wellbeing;
- provide access to essential medicines;
- capitalize on technological health innovations; and
- manage the silent but pervasive shift from communicable to noncommunicable diseases.
We are working together with our speakers and partners to update the programme for October and will keep you posted. Keep an eye out for our emails with more information.
